General Info - Statewide Certification


This certification is for Nutrient Management farmers who are applying to become a Certified Farm Operator (CFO). Once approved, the farmer will be able to draft their own Nutrient Management Plan. This module includes both the initial and renewal application forms.

The initial application is valid for 1 year if approved. After the initial 1 year approval, the farmer will be able to renew the certification by maintaining their farm operator certificate. It requires at least 2 hours of continuing education within the past year or 6 hours within a 3 year term and compliance with the reporting and record keeping requirements.
